how to download videos from facebook

How to download videos from Facebook to your phone or computer? It’s not an easy process, and we will tell you how to do it in just a few simple steps. You can also save Facebook posts to watch it later, and sometimes you want to download videos from the Facebook you’ve found on your home feed. Whether it’s a funny video that you want to save to share with friends OR how-to videos when you’re working on a project, Downloading Facebook videos from your feed to your device is simple with just a few steps.

Download Facebook Videos using a browser

This trick only works on the desktop Facebook.com site and not on the mobile app, so first, you’ll need to go to Facebook on your chrome browser. Then, look for the videos you want to download from Facebook and right-click on the video link. After that, click on the option Show video URL.

A little box with the video URL will pop up. Copy that full link and paste it in a new tab of your browser or window’s address bar.

Then, change the www in the address to basic. For example, if the URL of the video is https://www.facebook.com/videos/693414421380076, you must change it to https://mbasic.facebook.com/videos/693414421380076. Once completed, tap Enter on your keyboard. This does change the address to a mobile essential interface address, allowing you to download the video from Facebook. If you follow the step correctly, the screen will look slightly different, like the Facebook app on your browser.

Next, right-click on the desired video and select Open link in a new tab from the visible menu. The video won’t have any Facebook additions like comments and a like button in this new tab. It will just be the video.

From there, right-click on the Facebook video and choose Save video as from the visible menu. Then, save it to your personal computer like you usually do with other videos or photos.

Now you can play the video anytime with the installed video player on your personal computer.

How to download the Facebook videos using the app

If you don’t have a personal computer, downloading from the app using your phone will need help.

First, you’ll have to download a third-party app that gives Facebook app extra features for your phone videos. As an example, we used the Friendly for the Facebook app.

Once the app downloads, it will ask you to log into your Facebook account. Log in as you usually do. The app will then open up the Facebook app, and it will be like as you are using the Facebook app.

Next, find the desired videos you want to download from Facebook. You will see a little alien-like icon next to the share button at the video post’s bottom. Tap that alien icon. From the popup menu, then tap on the Video Downloading option, and that’s it. The video will start downloading on your phone.

This is how easily you can download videos from Facebook in a few simple steps. I hope you like it and do share it with your friends.
